The passion behind 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL as a core member and main sponsor.

81 MUSIC FESTIVAL will make its debut on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO in Odaiba, Tokyo.

Supporting the realization of this festival as both a core member of the production committee and its main sponsor is Traders Market Inc., the company behind CHAMPAGNE COLLET in Japan.

CHAMPAGNE COLLET is a champagne brand founded in France’s Champagne region in 1921, and is represented in Japan by Traders Market as its exclusive distributor. The brand has also been actively involved in the fields of sports and entertainment, and has entered into a naming rights agreement for the “CHAMPAGNE COLLET Party Lounge” at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO.

We spoke with Masanobu Tanaka, President and CEO of Traders Market Inc., about the background behind the company’s involvement in 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL, his passion for the festival, and the experience he hopes to deliver to visitors.

Q. To begin, could you tell us why you decided to take part in 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL?

I felt that 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL is not simply a music festival, but a project that aims to share a new culture from Japan with the world.

The festival carries “81,” Japan’s country code, as its name. Artists from Japan and overseas gather in one place, crossing genres and borders to create a shared space together.

I felt there was tremendous potential in that idea.

CHAMPAGNE COLLET is a brand born in France, but in order to bring its appeal to people in Japan, we have created experiences across a variety of fields, including food, sports, and entertainment. That is why we strongly resonate with the idea behind 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL: creating a place that connects Japan with the world.

Q. You are involved as both a core member of the production committee and the main sponsor. Could you share the thoughts and passion behind your involvement?

When people hear the word “sponsor,” they may imagine a company simply displaying its logo or providing financial support. But for us, our involvement goes beyond that. We are taking part as a partner helping to build this festival together.

With a festival being held for the first time, some people may feel both excitement and uncertainty, wondering whether it will truly take place or what kind of structure is behind its operation.

That is exactly why I believe it is meaningful for a company like ours to be firmly involved and to move the preparations forward as a member of the production committee. Artists, the venue, the operations team, and partner companies are all working together with the goal of creating a festival that visitors can enjoy with confidence and peace of mind.

Q. What does it mean for CHAMPAGNE COLLET to be involved in a music festival?

I believe champagne is a drink that accompanies special moments. Celebrations, joy, reunions, and emotional experiences. These moments become lasting memories.

A music festival is similar in that sense. It has an energy and sense of unity that can only be born on that particular day, in that particular place.

81 MUSIC FESTIVAL is a place where globally active artists and Japanese culture come together. For CHAMPAGNE COLLET to be part of that special moment is extremely meaningful for us as a brand.

Rather than simply serving champagne, we hope to become part of an experience that makes visitors feel, “This was a truly special day.”

Q. How do you feel about TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO, the venue for this festival?

TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO is located in Odaiba, one of Tokyo’s most iconic areas, and I believe it will become a place where many moving moments in sports and entertainment will be created in the years ahead.

We are also involved with the “CHAMPAGNE COLLET Party Lounge” inside TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO. That is why it feels especially meaningful that 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL will be held at this venue.

Another major appeal is that it is an indoor venue. It provides an environment where music, production, atmosphere, and hospitality can be delivered at a high level without being affected by the weather.

For a festival being held for the first time, I believe it is also an environment where visitors can feel comfortable and enjoy the experience with peace of mind.

Q. Mr. Tanaka, what kind of festival would you personally like 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL to become?

Tokyo has culture and entertainment that it can be proud to share with the world.

At the same time, I believe there is still room to create more opportunities to communicate that power globally. I feel that 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL can become one of those catalysts.

It is a place where the overseas music scene and Japanese culture intersect, and where younger generations and adults alike can share the same space in their own ways.

By adding elements of champagne and hospitality to that experience, I hope we can create a festival that is not only exciting, but also refined and memorable.

Q. Finally, could you share a message for those considering attending the festival?

81 MUSIC FESTIVAL is a festival that many people are preparing for with great passion, all toward the single date of June 27, 2026.

Because it is the first edition, there is a unique energy that can only exist at this moment. I also believe there will be special moments that can only be experienced by being there for the very first edition.

Whether you love music, are looking for a new experience in Tokyo, or want to feel the atmosphere of a culture connected to the world, I truly hope you will come to the venue.

At the new stage that is TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO, what kind of scenery will 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL create? We are looking forward to experiencing that moment together with everyone.
